Subjects Taught
American History I, American History I Honors

I grew up in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts and graduated from Monument Mountain Regional High School (Class of 1990) in Great Barrington.  I graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Teacher Certification.  I received my National Board Certification for Social Studies - History/Early Adolescence in 2003 and successfully renewed it in 2013.  I recently completed my Master's in School Administration and Instructional Specialist degrees at East Carolina University in May 2015.

I have been in education for the past 22 years.  This is my 19th year serving the students of Onslow County.  I was formerly at New Bridge Middle School for 6 years and am very excited to currently be in my thirteenth year here at White Oak.  I am also the White Oak High School Teacher of the Year for 2016.

The love of my life, Tanya, and I have been married for over ten years.  We have a nine year old son, Matthew, who is a bundle of joy (and energy).  We both teach here at White Oak.  She is involved with the musical production and I coach boys and girls soccer, as well as serve as the Assistant Athletic Director.  In my spare time, I like to play golf and work on projects around the house.
