I have been teaching at White Oak High School for the past 17 years. During that time, I have taught 9, 10, 11, and 12 grade English. I have also taught the verbal and writing portions of the SAT Prep. class. Several years ago, I worked in the Individual Learning Center, a computer lab that used "The Success Maker" program to help at risk students.

I have lived in Jacksonville, NC most of my life. My father retired from the Marine Corps and settled here. I met my husband, a former marine, while still in high school. We married and settled here as well. We continue to have strong military ties. My son is a Naval officer, and my daughter served two years in the Army. My son-in-law, a former military police Army sargeant, had the honor of protecting both Presidents Bush and Obama during their leisure time.
