Subjects Taught
Agriscience, Animal Science I, Animal Science II

I received my Bachelors of Science from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Animal Science and a minor in Business.  I later pursued my advance degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.

I have been teaching since the fall of 2001, begining my career as a Science teacher and Coach in west Texas.  I served in those positions for a number of years, before moving on to central Texas  for a few years in similiar positions.  I later moved to Oklahoma where I taught Science, PE, and Coached a variety of sports.  For the last 4 years I have been teaching in Onslow County at Richlands HS, and have now moved back to my roots taking the Ag Teaching position here at White Oak HS.

I was born Texan and raised in Oklahoma spending most of my life bouncing back and forth over the Red River.  I grew up on a small cattle ranch, learning the cowboy ways since the day I was born.  I grew up competeing in rodeo, roping calves and fullfilling the family tradition of being a rodeo cowboy.  I went to college on a full rodeo scholarship and competed until a few years ago.

I received my BS from Oklahoma State in Animal Science, and began my professional career working for the Farm Credit System after college.  In 2001, I decided to return to school to obtain my teaching degree, and have been teaching since.  I moved to North Carolina to be near my daughter, and to spend as much time with her as I can.  After moving to NC, I met my wife and we now have another daughter as well.  I am a Christian, a husband, a father and a teacher... (and I have a real estate license as well), but for the most part, that is my life.

I love being with my family, I love making a difference and I love college football in the fall.
