Kevin Day is the associate director of bands at White Oak High School.  Mr. Day received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from East Carolina University in 2003.  He then earned a contract with Carnival Cruise Lines as lead trumpeter of the showband orchestra, which he completed 2 separate tours over 8 months from New York City to numerous islands in the Caribbean.  Soon after, Mr. Day completed his Master of Music degree from Louisiana State University in 2007, serving as the teaching assistant in the jazz department.  He soon moved back to North Carolina to pursue a career in teaching. 

This is Mr. Day's 11th year teaching, and his 4th at White Oak High School.  He is also a freelance trumpeter in various music groups throughout NC and SC. 

Mr. Day resides in Jacksonville with his wonderful family- his wife, Pamela (also a music teacher), their three sons, Tommy, Michael, and Joey and their dog, Lucas.
