Hello and welcome to my school counselor’s page. It is my honor to work every day with the students here at White Oak High School. My goal is to assist by addressing the developmental needs of all students through a comprehensive school counseling program in the areas of academics, career and personal/social development.

I have been a school counselor at White Oak High since February, 2013. Before coming to work at White Oak High School, I was a Middle School Counselor for 5 ½ years. My other related work experience includes 18 ½ years at New Hanover County Department of Social Services as a Social Worker III.

My educational background includes obtaining my BA in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work from North Carolina Central University. I have a Masters of Art degree in School Counseling from North Carolina Central University and completed some of my graduate work at The University of North Carolina Wilmington. I have earned certifications in School Counseling and Career Counseling.

My hobbies include spending time with my wonderful family, reading, sports and participating in church activities. It is my passion and love for helping families that help drive me to be the best school counselor I can each and every day. Please feel free to call or email me with your concerns as we work together to build a bright future for every student who attends White Oak High School.
